Like with all modules, it involves a lot of hard work and occasionally an early start. This week, I've felt incredibly fatigued and my writing has suffered as a result. I still managed to write 600 words of my current WIP and edited a little more of Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, however it has been difficult. What is important is that I am still keeping my work moving along.
A word of warning to any young authors reading this: balancing your writing with school/college/university is a massive undertaking. Do NOT underestimate the challenge it can bring. I'll always encourage young and teenage writers to fulfill their dream, but doing well academically is still vital. It is my dream to be able to live as a full time author, but those grades I received at A-Level and at university are an important part of that formula. Yes being an author is a wonderful career but it is a marathon, not a sprint.
