Another busy week, but I have managed to keep my writing moving along in spite of this. The key, I've found time and time again, is a good routine.
I have discovered that my peak creativity is first thing in the morning, but I have also realised that having the right background noise is essential. I find it hard to focus in complete silence, so whenever I write or work, I have to have some music playing.
Fast-paced songs are an important for me here. Slower songs tend to make my mind wander away from what it is meant to be focussing on, whereas faster songs will keep it energised and motivated. I also steer away from unfamiliar artists and songs, otherwise I find that I'll be paying more attention to the song rather than my novel.
The best songs for me are all on my Dragon's Music playlist. Check them out; they might just help your own writing!
