After the excitement of last week, this week has been a case of carrying on my progress. Blue Eyes Book 2 is still progressing very well and the finish line is getting closer and closer. As well as working hard on my latest novel, I also have a little word to bring you on Heartbound.
On Saturday 28 November, I visited Syston in Leicestershire and a craft fair which was taking place in the town centre. Part of this was looking for Christmas gift ideas, but another reason was looking for new D. Burton Editing clients. As my business would not have been set up without Heartbound, and the fact it is set in Syston, I thought I would show it to the residents. You could say it was a mini book tour!
The feedback that I received was incredible. Everyone I spoke to had nothing but praise for Heartbound and myself. Given that I also spoke about self-publishing and Heartbound for a university project, I am starting to realise that my first novel has actually been a huge influence on my life.
Writing is so rewarding, and my advice to anyone contemplating writing a story is to not let anything hold you back.
